So Ridiculously Cultured...

A couple weeks back we had quite the ARABIAN NIGHT!

Roomies. Love 'em!

There was food dancing, headwraps, genie pants, photo's galore, and a special performance of the Call to the Prayer. It was fun to get in touch with my inner genie...I dabble in turbanning! And it was quite the experience learning a few Arabic line dances!

Then, just a few nights ago, we had a Seder Meal to celebrate the Passover...in February?
Most of the students were involved in narrating or singing throughout the meal.
Me? I rapped. Naturally.

Walk it Out
All of these pictures make the night seem like it was silly and all fun & games. Well, it was fun. But it actually was a very formal dinner. We read stories, sang songs, read scriptures in the Torah, washed our hands, poured grape juice, and acted through many Jewish rituals. It is always so fascinating to learn more about other beliefs and cultures.
